Step 1 Show all hidden files

  1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
  2. Click the View tab.
  3. Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.

Step 2 The following files must be deleted

Step 3 Uninstall from Control Panel

Move mouse cursor to the bottom right corner of the screen. Click Settings on Charms bar and go to Control Panel. Select Uninstall a program and remove ZenSearch.com related programs.

Windows XP
Go to Start, navigate to Settings and click on Control Panel, navigate to Add or Remove Programs, choose Programs and Features, find ZenSearch.com related programs, and hit Remove.

Windows 7/Vista
Go to Start, navigate to Control Panel, select Uninstall a program/Programs and Features, find ZenSearch.com related programs, and click on Uninstall.

Step 5 Reset System DNS Setting

Step 6 Remove Proxy caused by ZenSearch.com virus from compromised browsers ( take Firefox as an example)
1. Under “Tools” in the browser tool bar select “Options”.
2. In the “Options” window that pops up, click the “Advanced” tab at the top.
3. Click the “Network” subtab, and then click the “Settings” button in the “Connections” area.
4. If “No proxy” isn’t selected, click it to mark “No proxy” as your preference.
